St John gives the best of all worlds.

The house sits proud on the hill at the top of Lorne. From the wrap around deck, we overlooked not just the town and beaches, but the whole bay and reserve. There was always something happening, always something to watch; hours just passed by and brought that unmistakable, relaxed holiday feeling.

The house is exquisitely furnished, and only recently completed. All tastefully done, and everything we needed had been thought of, but we really appreciated those little touches that make a holiday: The long forgotten board games that we used to play as kids; Books and magazines; The wireless speaker for everyones competing playlists. We just moved right in and didnt put the tv on once.

Then theres the den below the main living areas. Separate but joined. Pool table or quiet space. It was good for children escaping adults, or adults escaping kids. Self- contained with sofa bed, kitchenette and bathroom facilities.

It was blissful.
